The 4th edition of the France–Latin America Open Science Meetings is co-organised on the French side by: the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space, the French Embassy in Uruguay and the French Embassy in Argentina; and on the Uruguayan side by: the Uruguayan Secretariat for Science and Knowledge Valorisation (SENCI), the University of the Republic (Udelar) and the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII).

The 4th edition of the France – Latin America on Open Science is intended to continue the dialogue initiated in Buenos Aires in 2021, in São Paulo in 2022 and in Paris in 2023, between Latin American, European and French experts on issues relating to publications, data, software, infrastructure, research evaluation, artificial intelligence and the fight against disinformation. This international event also aims to strengthen the shared vision of Open Science as a global public good, drawing on the 2021 UNESCO Recommendations, and to identify new avenues for cooperation between Latin American countries, Europe and, in particular, France, across all aspects of Open Science.

Nathalie Fargier will take part in the round-table discussion on “Innovative and equitable models of open access”.
