Although the CCSD is not a publisher, as the entity responsible for dissemination platforms, it has a duty to contribute to maintaining integrity, which is essential to the credibility of science. The aim is to preserve the reputation of HAL, Episciences and Sciencesconf, and to ensure that the scientific community and wider society continue to have trust in the services offered.
Integrity Unit
The integrity unit brings together integrity officers from the CCSD’s supervisory bodies: the CNRS, Inria and INRAE. It advises the CCSD’s management and makes recommendations to improve transparency and the management of breaches of scientific integrity relating to publications in HAL. The unit has an overview of all reported cases and is consulted as needed.
COPE
As a member of COPE (the Committee on Publication Ethics), the CCSD is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and applying COPE’s principles, as set out in its fundamental practices.
