Official opening of Software Heritage

Written by CCSD

The official opening ceremony of Software Heritage was held on June the 7th. Developed by INRIA in partnership with UNESCO, SoftwareHeritage.org is the first universal library of computer programme source codes. It aims to preserve and share the source codes of all software programmes that have been giving life to computers since the middle of last century.

As we announced in a previous post, the CCSD with HAL participates in this universal library to better serve the scientific community. The submission of the source code is done via the HAL-INRIA portal for the moment to validate the process. It will then be deployed in HAL and the portals.
