Training

How to submit in HAL (webinars)

Setting up in October 2019 of training courses for researchers, in order to support the CNRS incentive policy. One hour webinars specifically designed for researchers, who can thus quickly be trained  to the submission to HAL, and ask their questions directly to the support team.

8 sessions were thus proposed over 2 months (from October 31 to December 19). With an average of 14 participants per session,

Administration of a HAL portal

The training offer for portal administrators has now been finalised. A training schedule is proposed, generally in Paris, for 6 to 10 attendees per session. They are systematically offered to new portal administrators, as part of the project to open a portal, or old portals whose administrators are changing.

52 people trained for 30 different institutions

  • 4 sessions at INRIA Paris  (january, 22 ; february, 28 ; april, 16 ; october,23)
  • 1 session at École des Chartes (june, 27)
  • 1  session at URFIST Rennes (may,16)
  • 1 session at CCSD for IN2P3 (december, 3)

Moderation in HAL

Several institutions managing a HAL portal wanted to take over the moderation of deposits. In 2019, this concerns the universities of Lorraine, Pau and Angers. The delegation of moderation includes a half-day training course for staff.

In case of turnover, a session is also proposed: this was the case for the University of Aix Marseille and IN2P3.

14 people were trained during 5 sessions in 2019.

Sciencesconf
